We rented the Pavilion for our daughter's wedding reception and could not be happier with our choice! Park staff was amazing (thank you, Frank, Thomas and Mark!) We were able to attend several open houses beforehand, which helped with planning. Swan boats were a fun activity for our guests during the social hour! The concessionaire who rents the boats and surrey bikes allowed us to run a tab and pay for the rides at the end of the night. A lovely time all around!

This is a DIY wedding dream venue! This place is a really cool blank canvas. Bring in your favorite food truck, some furniture, bartenders, and get creative with your decor and you'll be creating your dream wedding! The space is really neat, and quite large for what it is. I had a ton of fun photographing a wedding there!

Great place to go relax, see music on music nights (Sundays) for free, practice fly fishing- watch for runners behind you!- or paddle boat the swans around the lake. Plenty of space to cookout or just sit and watch the world.

Went to a late afternoon, evening wedding here. First of all, we couldn't even find the pavilion. The signs were terrible, pretty much non-existent. We were right next to it and didn't know it was the pavilion. They also could use some plexiglass on the gates to help keep the wind from coming in as there is no heat. The plus side is you didn't need much for decorations, the light that comes in from the sun and the building itself makes it beautiful.

City Park is a great park located only a 10 minute drive and 20 minute bike ride from Downtown Denver with Ferril Lake at its center with a walkway/bikeway surrounding it. It is a large park with plenty of walking/biking space and grass.

There aren't many parking lots here but finding street parking within the park and around the perimeter of the park is easy and plentiful. I have never had an issue finding parking when visiting here.

One very unique aspect of City Park is that the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science are located within City Park. I have greatly enjoyed ending a visit to the zoo or museum with a leisurely stroll around the park. I highly recommend it!

One thing that I will say is a downfall of the park is that it is a bit dirtier than other parks that I have gone to. There is not much that can be done regarding the plentiful goose droppings but the trash cans surrounding the park always seem to be somewhat full and emit a foul odor. It is also surrounded by relatively busy streets especially Colorado Blvd so it is not the quietest either.

Overall, City Park is a great place to be active, read a book, or just chill out and take in the beautiful Colorado weather. Enjoy!

This is our absolute favorite park! There are so many incredible areas to explore. We come here 2-3x a week to ride scooters, walk the lake, feed the geese (oops, sorry if we weren't supposed to lol).

I love that City Park is an oasis of calm and beauty in the middle of a metropolitan area. Last night, I visited the opener of City Park's Sunday Jazz program, which is an exceptional summer gathering held every week. They feature terrific jazz artists at the City Park stage (which overlooks the pond), and there are dozen of food truck options. It's a terrific atmosphere, great place to hang out with friends and family.
