This place used to be our go to spot for our family trip vacation. But after this very recent experience, I will not be taking my family back here anymore. The check in staff members and bellman services at guest services was such an inconvenient. A particular guest service member name, Mike was not cool. I didn’t appreciate his condescending attitude. Because of people like him, I will be letting others know not to come here anymore as there are more beautiful and friendly hotels by the Riverwalk to book at. They definitely need to retrain their staff and do better. Needless to say, their indoor pool was super cold to even swim in. It’s all for show. Other hotels typically warm up their in-door pools. Sadly for a name brand hotel like the Marriott, I expected a 5 star service. Pretty disappointed. Look at other hotel alternatives and book your hotel experience elsewhere. Save your time and money on much nicer hotels if you want a superior time with your family!

Great experience from the start. Took advantage of valet parking. Excellent experience checking in. Great room, exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed. We had access to the lounge. Good food and drinks, used the $25 credit that comes with the destination fee. Also used the free boat ride tickets that come with the destination fee. Wonderful breakfast in the lounge, and they were kind enough to leave the buffet open a bit longer.

The hotel was great! Stayed here for a conference recently and would definitely stay here again if I’m down in San Antonio.

The beds were comfy, and the room was a decent size.

The room service menu was decent enough, nothing spectacular but also not bad either.

The hotel bar was absolutely amazing. Super friendly staff that knew how to make one hell of an old fashioned.

Everything about this place was mostly great. The location to the river walk, staff, access to restaurants and bars, fitness center, and the food were all top notch. However these rooms are anything but soundproof. Came here for a one night stay on NYE with my girlfriend and could hear kids screaming all night in the rooms both in front and behind us. Wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking for a romantic getaway.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Hotel staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Visited the hotel’s Tributary Restaurant for dinner and drinks. The barbacoa ravioli was delicious and the drinks made by Roffe who was our server/bartender were well crafted. Highly recommend for a great dining experience.

I was there for a 3 day conference. The hotel is nice, the service was impeccable even with such large crowds. The food in the Tributery was wonderful. The room was clean and comfy. I will say the water pressure in the shower was to be desired. When you can hardly feel it go down your leg it's an issue.
Would definitely stay again!

This will be the first and last time I stay at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the Riverwalk. I booked and paid for a room on a high floor for New Year’s Eve, expecting a premium experience, but it turned out to be anything but. I checked in at noon and was told I’d receive a call when my room was ready—I never got that call. When I finally checked in, the front desk staff assured me my room had a city-facing view, but instead, I was given a room facing the back or a view of the hotel across the street.||I went back to the front desk to address the issue, only to be told that the only solution was to downgrade my room. If that’s the case, why wouldn’t they adjust the price I paid for the high-floor room? I ended up staying because I had traveled far and promised my wife we’d be downtown, but it was a disappointing experience.||On top of all that, the rooms don’t even have microwaves, and the refrigerators are tiny. For the price, it’s simply not worth it. Next time, I’ll book across the street at the Grand Hyatt, where the rooms are bigger, the amenities are better, and the experience actually matches the price. Never again at this Marriott.
